Many people are not very clear about the fabric composition of the clothing customization industry. There are too many kinds of clothing fabrics. It is really troublesome to distinguish them strictly. The most controversial issue is whether polyester fibers and polyester fibers are the same fabric, and why there are two names.
First of all, we should make sure that polyester fibers and polyester fibers are the same raw materials. Polyester fibers are the world's general title and polyester is China's title. From this point of view, there is no difference between the two, but not all polyester fibers are called polyester fibers.
There are many kinds of polyester fibers, of which three are common: polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fibers, polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) fibers and polypropylene terephthalate (PTT) fibers. With the improvement of fiber production technology, two new members of PBT and PTT have been added to polyester fibers. Among them, the commodity name of PET fiber in our country is polyester. It can be seen that polyester fiber is only one kind of polyester fiber.
Because of its easy availability of raw materials and excellent properties, polyester has become the most productive and widely used fiber in chemical fibers. Therefore, people are mistakenly accustomed to think that polyester fibers are polyester fibers.
PTT fiber has the characteristics of both polyester and nylon. It is easy to wash and dry, has good elastic recovery, and has good wear resistance and tensile recovery. It is more suitable for making composite fibers, elastic fabrics, carpets and other materials. PBT fibers not only have the advantages of polyester, but also have better dyeing, aging resistance, chemical reaction resistance and heat resistance. PBT fibers have become one of the promising differential fibers in the field of synthetic fibers.
The emergence of these two new types of polyester fibers has not only broken the dominant situation of polyester fibers, but may even be replaced within a certain range.
